Micro-Humanitarian Instant Impact

🇫🇷🇺🇦🦿⚽️ On Sunday 28 September, we were honoured to welcome Pierre Heilbronn, President Emmanuel Macron's special envoy to Ukraine, to Lviv for the second weekend of matches in the brand new Amputee Football Championship.

It was an opportunity to introduce him to this discipline and to present the commitment of The Small Projects Team. The French delegation, accompanied by Pavlo Yarema, the French consul in Lviv, was impressed by the technical nature and speed of this sport, but also by its impact on the rehabilitation of war-wounded soldiers - an area in which France is already heavily involved, notably with the funding of the future centre. Superhumans in Odessa.

At this meeting, we were able to present our programme to support the creation of new ampfootball clubs across Ukraine. Pierre Heilbronn also spoke with Lena Balbek, Director of the UAF Foundation and adviser to the President of the Ukrainian Football Federation Andriy Shevchenko, and with Bohdan Melnyk, manager of the Pokrova club and a pioneer of the sport in Ukraine.

We hope that, with France's support, we will be able to mobilise the funding needed to develop new clubs. Strengthening this ecosystem is essential in a country where the number of amputees, both veterans and civilians, is already in the tens of thousands.
