Micro-Humanitarian Instant Impact

Thanks to the initiative of Valentin Dulignée, a French artist who organised fundraisers during his concerts in France to support communities in Ukraine, The Small Projects Team was able to raise €600 to finance the distribution of books and games for the organisation «Trochy Vognyu» (https://www.facebook.com/trochy/which means «A small fire», a charitable foundation based in Kharkiv.

In the midst of war, when most classes are held online only, the foundation offers in-person educational support to help children continue learning and stay in school. It also provides psychological support and creates a safe community space where children can interact, make friends and feel connected to others again.

«Trochy Vognyu also operates a branch in a rural village near the Russian border where no other organisation is present. The team helped to set up a small library there, which quickly became an essential place of learning and sharing for local children. Apart from the activities offered by the foundation, there are no other educational or recreational resources in the entire region.

We are truly proud to highlight and support, even in a small way, these small local organisations that are doing incredible work in places completely overlooked by major international players. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of them throughout Ukraine, and without them, the daily lives of a population entering its fourth year of war would be very different.

This support is intended for two centres, each accommodating around 25 rural children from the Kharkiv region, located in the villages of Matviivka and Semeno Yarske. All deliveries pass through the town of Bohodukhiv, which serves as a logistics centre for these distributions.

Sometimes, a small gesture such as a book, a game or an afternoon spent together can become a spark of resilience. And resilience is something that the children of Ukraine carry with extraordinary dignity.

If you would like to join this chain of acts of solidarity which, even if modest, have a real and tangible impact, you can support our actions.
