Micro-Humanitarian Instant Impact

Together with our new partner, the Ukrainian NGO Об'єднані спільною метою ("United by a common Goal" - https://www.facebook.com/p/Громадська-організація-Обєднані-спільною-метою-100083578201706/https://www.facebook.com/p/Громадська-організація-Обєднані-спільною-метою-100083578201706/), supplied computers to two schools in the Cherkasy region.

Ternivskyi High School of the Ternivska Village Council was founded in 1861. It is the main educational institution for seven villages within the Ternivska Territorial Community. The school currently caters for 266 pupils, including internally displaced children and those with special educational needs.

The facility has a room where a psychologist and art therapists regularly run recreational sessions incorporating creative elements.

In this context, the students actively participate in regional and national creative competitions. The school is also home to three museums, where the pupils organise guided tours for visitors and local residents. Thanks to your support, the pupils now also have access to a computer room with 10 workstations.

The Smila Special SchoolSmila School, run by Cherkasy Regional Council, currently caters for 114 pupils with special educational needs, including 22 children with disabilities. Because of the war, classes are held in hybrid mode in another school, using six designated classrooms, as the main building in Smila does not have an air raid shelter.

Smila pupils regularly win creative competitions at municipal, regional and national level. They are also involved in voluntary activities, such as collecting food for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and taking part in charity fairs to help wounded soldiers being treated in local hospitals.

We provided Smila with 22 computers, which enabled the creation of a computer room.

Thank you to Régis Harpocrate and all the volunteers of his association Action Numérique Solidaire (https://actionnumeriquesolidaire.org/) for collecting and upgrading computers, and the Normandy association Élan de Solidarité pour l'Ukraine (https://www.facebook.com/p/Elan-de-Solidarit%C3%A9-pour-lUKRAINE-100087666558260/)which provided transport from the Paris region. Nothing would be possible without this fantastic humanitarian chain.
