As you know if you follow our work, we like projects that fit in one simple object, but whose effects are measured in smiles, learning and hope. This time, it is laptops.
Thanks to our partner Inforea, who supplied the computers (inforea.tech), the Ukrainian association KLASS (facebook.com/share/p/1DzG46QPqt/) and to our friends at Agir Ensemble pour l’Ukraine, who let us use one of their convoys (aepu.eu), we were able to deliver 30 computers to Pyriatyn, a city in northern Ukraine, in the Poltava oblast.
They are now used in four key locations: the Resilience Center, the Social Services Center, the University of the Third Age and the Veterans Hub.
These computers will have several impacts:
- Digital inclusion : seniors, people with disabilities and vulnerable families will be able to learn how to access online services, stay in touch with loved ones and use today’s tools with confidence.
- Psychosocial support : the PCs will be used for psychological consultations, stress management workshops and programs that strengthen emotional well-being and resilience.
- Reintegration of veterans : to help them access social services, acquire new skills, look for a job or start a business.
- Youth : young people will be able to sharpen their digital skills, use artificial intelligence, and build creative and civic projects.
- Support for families : to support parenting, help families affected by the war and let them stay connected.
- Economic independence : financial education, job search, online training, setting up small businesses.
Much more than technology
These computers are tools of inclusion, independence, reconstruction and hope. Children, older people, veterans, internally displaced people, families marked by the war: everyone finds something here to regain confidence and take a concrete step toward a better future.
That is our DNA: small projects, carried out as close as possible to needs, that produce big effects.
Thank you to Inforea for their solidarity and generosity, to our donors who make these actions possible, and to KLASS and the Pyriatyn teams for their work on the ground. Together, we are creating new opportunities and strengthening this community’s resilience.
