As last year, The Small Projects Team was lucky enough to be one of 12 NGOs selected to present their programmes on the - sad - 3rd anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. 

The City of Paris had set up a number of stands on the Place de la Bastille at the end of the support march, which drew several thousand people and ended with inspiring speeches by Paris councillor Geneviève Garrigos, the Ukrainian ambassador to France Vadym Volodymyrovych and Jean-Pierre Kaspernak, co-chairman of the Union of Ukrainians in France.

We shared our stand with our friends from the Normandy NGO Élan de solidarité Ukraine and were delighted to meet up with colleagues from many humanitarian organisations, including our friends and partners from Agir Ensemble Pour l'Ukraine.

The crowd - nearly 6,000 people - was larger than last year, demonstrating the continuing strong support of the French people for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
